When we think of July, we think of fun. Fireworks, barbecues, beach parties and vacations come to mind. We are also now truly in the throes of summer, and for us in the South, that means hot, hotter and hottest. Add the other "H" word -- humidity -- and we are talking steaming.
Fortunately for those of us who are looking to buy or sell a home, the real estate market is heating up too. Interest rates remain at historic lows, sellers are willing to negotiate so they can literally move on to their new home, builders are offering incentives and developing exciting new properties, and buyers are discovering the best deals they have had in years. By the way, if you are a seller, don't feel that you are going to lose in this "buyer's market." Most likely, you will still realize a profit, and once you sell, you become a buyer as well -- with all the advantages this financial market offers.
